Python Loops Tutorial
In Python, loops are control structures that allow you to repeatedly execute a block of code as long as a condition is true or for a certain number of iterations. Python supports two main types of loops: for
loops and while
loops.
For Loops: The for
loop in Python is used to iterate over a sequence (such as a list, tuple, string, or range) or any iterable object.
While Loops: The while
loop in Python repeatedly executes a block of statements as long as a condition is true.
Both for
and while
loops can be controlled using loop control statements like break
, continue
, and else
clauses.
The
break
statement is used to exit the loop prematurely. The
continue
statement is used to skip the rest of the code inside the loop for the current iteration and continue to the next iteration. The
else
block is executed when the loop condition becomes false, unless the loop was terminated by abreak
statement.
